OEM Auto Parts Dubai – Search by OEM Number and VIN
How to use an OEM part number and VIN to buy the exact part in Dubai, where to find the number, and what to do when you cannot find it.

# OEM Auto Parts Dubai – Search by OEM Number and VIN
An OEM part number is the manufacturer's own identifier for a component. It is the most precise way to buy a car part anywhere, and in a busy trade market like Dubai it removes almost all of the back-and-forth.
Where to find the OEM number
- On the old part. Stamped, etched, moulded or printed. This is the most reliable source.
- In the owner's documentation for consumables such as filters and bulbs.
- From a dealer parts counter, using the VIN.
- From the previous invoice, if the part has been replaced before.
Photograph the number rather than transcribing it. Characters such as 0/O and 1/I are misread constantly, and one wrong character is a different part.
What the number does and does not guarantee
An OEM number identifies the part precisely. It does not tell you what condition you will be offered. The same number can arrive as a dealer part, a genuine trade-sourced part, an original-equipment supplier's own-box part, an aftermarket equivalent cross-referenced to it, or a used part. Always confirm which one is being quoted.
Superseded numbers are also normal: manufacturers replace a number with an updated one. If a supplier offers a different number and says it replaces yours, that is a routine supersession — ask them to confirm it in writing.
When you do not have the number
Use the VIN — the 17-character chassis number, visible through the windscreen, on the driver's door frame and in the registration card. With the VIN a supplier can resolve the exact build and identify the part. Brand, model and model year alone are enough for many mechanical items but not for electronics or trim.
Buying with an OEM number in Dubai
The trade here is competitive and quick. With a number in hand:
- Ask for the condition and brand being supplied, not just the price.
- Ask whether the part is in the UAE or being ordered in.
- Keep the number in your records for the next replacement.
Request the number-matched part
On PARTAT you can request a part by OEM number directly. Suppliers respond with what they have against that number, and you compare their responses.
What we do not claim
We do not publish stock or price for any business unless that business publishes it. A count on this site is a count of records we hold, not a stock promise.
